Born into a family of five adorable girls, it just made me interested in girls stuff at an early stage in life. When I say girls stuff I mean, makeup, dress ups and having a skin care routine. My eldest sister was so girly and had a beautiful skin (lucky her). I will watch my sisters have a skin care routine and couldn’t wait to join them (in their words I was too young to start applying anything on my face). As the years would go by I soon realized that I started to develop acne (hormonal acne), I and my immediate elder sister battled acne while the others had flawless skin. It made me study a lot on skin care and I tried a lot of products too. I will read anything that talked about skincare, I just wanted a really smooth skin. From triple antibacterial cream, to some organic products(funny right) I was desperate to have a skin as clear as my sisters but the more I tried products it just messed up everything. One day I thought to speak to a dermatologist, during our consultation she made me understand that having a healthy skin is a journey not a sprint. That conversation alone ignited the passion for a healthy skin care routine, I took to her recommendations and I was patient. My skin went dark at first (it needed to heal) my skin barrier was disrupted but my acne cleared up gradually and I trusted the process. By default I will always google skin care products, where to get authentic skincare products while paying attention to the actives. I absolutely loved it when I added a new skin care product to my cart, it was all the therapy I needed when ever I felt tired. Understanding the struggle of acne, not having a genetically flawless skin I thought to build a community of individuals who I can help embrace a healthy skin care journey, along side other skin consultants. Knowing how difficult it can be in getting original skincare products, I decided to step in. The enthusiasm of mine gave birth to DERMA ESSENTIALS. I had my fair share of doubt if it will thrive, but you all make it worth it. DERMA (skin) ESSENTIALS (a thing that is absolutely necessary). I realized although not so late in time that a healthy skin care routine is absolutely necessary for every individual.
